Mainstream
North is encouraging the formation of local meetings of
ministers and church leaders. These are based around
around an agenda in which we seek to develop one another
as leaders committed to forming missionary disciples.
Alongside this we have a programme of Leaders Day and
Theology Days. The first of these looks at issues of
ministry and mission in a context of worship and sharing
our stories as church leaders. Theology Days provide an
opportunity to talk together in a relaxed and safe
environment on underlying theological topics. More
recently we have introduced elements of personal retreat
and worship leadership training. All this is to help you
lead your church. If you want to be involved in any of
this, please contact Stephen Ibbotson.

Mainstream NE first began to meet every two or three
months during 2006. We have met for mutual
encouragement, input from a speaker and prayer,
originally at New Life Baptist Church in Northallerton,
North Yorkshire with people coming from all over the
North East. However, as the area is quite large (from
Northumberland to York), and Northallerton is quite a
long way South for many, we meet at
Bethany Christian Centre in Houghton le Spring to
make it easier for others to come. For details of
meetings, please do contact us. We would very much like
to hear from anyone who would be interested in more
information. |

The south west covers a wide
geographical area, so we aim to encourage local clusters
of leaders and offer some extra events open to the whole
region. Church leaders in the area are keen to establish
or develop local groups, please speak to me! I am more
than happy to link you up with others for mutual
encouragement and resourcing |

Mainstream Wales is seeking to
renew and revitalize churches in Wales and remove any
barriers to working together. The regional gathering
meets three times a year bringing together those in
church leadership from South and Mid Wales. One
gathering a year centres on Theological Reflection, the
other two on Missional Church. This Word and Spirit
Regional gathering is uniquely placed to bring together
those within the Baptist Union of Wales and those within
the South Wales Baptist Association (BUGB) though is
open to all wo would want to come. Mainstream Wales
seeks to generate 'life in all its fullness' amongst
leaders in order to encourage them in heir task of
building the church.
Smaller groups are vital in this pursuit and both within
and outside of this network the Union and Association
are encouraging clusters to emerge.
The next planned Mainstream Days are as follows:
Tuesday 27th January - Bruce Collins
Thursday 11 June - Tony Campolo
All will be from 10 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. at Carmel Baptist,
Pontlliw near Swansea)
