Dereham
Baptist Church, beginning at 9.30 a.m. and ending
with lunch at a local carvery. We have a Theology day on

'Days of Refreshment' are held at The
Mill, Birmington, near Shipston-on-Stour to worship, to pray
for each other and to seek God. Ministers and those in
pastoral ministry across the Cotswolds, are welcome to

Mainstream East Midlands was launched
in Peterborough on 25 April. Stephen Ibbotson led our
sessions and presented us with the current thinking and
direction the movement is taking. Those attending were
encouraged to grasp the opportunity to develop local cells
where groups of likeminded leaders can meet, share and
become mutually accountable to each other in ministry. We
were also encouraged to hold regional days with someone with
the 'power of the congregation' invited to stimulate our
thinking, and lead us into new areas of ministry. As a
result of the launch the Peterborough ministers group will
seek to take things forward from here - but we realise that
making it happen will require everyone's passion to make
Mainstream happen in your area. I hope and pray you can be
part of what has now begun in the East Midlands as we seek
to grow and develop together.

Mainstream North is encouraging
the formation of local meetings of ministers/church leaders.
These are based around an agenda in which we seek to develop
one another as leaders committed to forming missionary
disciples. Alongside this we have a programme of Leaders Day
and Theology Days. The first of these looks at issues of
ministry and mission in a context of worship and sharing our
stories as church leaders. Theology Days provide an
opportunity to talk together in a relaxed and safe
environment on underlying theological topics. More recently
we have introduced elements of personal retreat and worship
leadership training. All this
is to help you lead your church. If

Mainstream NE first began to meet every two or three
months during 2006. We have met for mutual
encouragement, input from a speaker and prayer,
originally at New Life
Baptist Church in Northallerton, North Yorkshire,
with people coming from all over the North East.
However, as the area is quite large (from Northumberland
to York) and Northallerton is quite a long way south for
many, we have recently begun to meet at
Bethany Christian Centre in Houghton-le-Spring to
make it easier for others to come. For details of

to hear from anyone who would be interested in more
information.
